Dams Head Lodge

Dams Head Lodge, also known as Waterdale

Only 3/4 of an acre – but a little gem.
Heavily weeded in summer, with big stands of lily pads – you could easily think that you were fishing an estate lake rather than an old bleach works mill lodge.
Roach, rudd, perch, skimmers, brown goldfish, perch, pike, carp and tench.
Its a good walk from the carpark (like most of our waters) but it fishes well.
Again – light balanced tackle for the silvers.
In summer – surface fishing for the carp is popular.

200+ small carp were introduced into this lake during winter 2013/14 – but haven’t figured in anglers catches since…. a bit of a mystery – maybe they were the wrong size and were easy prey for the resident pike.

We will be stocking again in spring 2020 with some 5lb+ fish
