Fishing Friends Event Cancelled

SADLY THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO COVID LOCK DOWN.

WE WILL RUN FISHING SOCIALS AS SOON AS COVID REGULATIONS ARE RELAXED AGAIN.

STAY SAFE ANGLERS !!

Having friends is important – Having friends who fish is essential for a happy life!

Fishing creates lifelong friendships

Many lifelong friendships have been forged through a shared passion for angling.

Our Salford Friendly Anglers Facebook page is usually a very friendly place (we do our best to moderate out the nutters), and if you would like to tag along with someone to learn about a new venue or technique its a great place to ask for help and advice. If you are going fishing to a particular venue and just fancy a bit of company why not let people know a day or so before and you can arrange a meet up with new faces.

On Sunday 8th November – Mike and Phil from the Salford Friendly Anglers committee – will be set up and fishing on Drinkwater Park at 9am – you are welcome to join us. You can fish however you like, or just come down for a wander and a chat – there is plenty of room for anglers of all disciplines including the adjacent River Irwell for those who fancy a go. If you see someone fishing, feel free to ask to see their rig, ask about baits etc — these sessions are for sharing,, learning and meeting new people. This event is open to anglers/would be anglers of ALL ages.

We are aware of Tier 3 lockdown – and consider that with a little bit of common courtesy and social distancing we can meet up outdoors safely.

Drinkwater Park car park will be fully open – post code M25 9SU

You never know you might meet someone new and then end up as the new Paul and Bob

If this event is a success we will start to run them on a monthly basis at different locations across our area.
